A series of illustrated magnets (8 x 6,5 cm) that reinterpret Ecuador through a contemporary, approachable, and colorful perspective. Each design —Quito, Galápagos, the Middle of the World, the hummingbird, or Aya Uma— translates places, symbols, and characters into a visual language that feels current and accessible.

Created by young designers from Vulgomaestre, these pieces blend illustration and culture into objects made to naturally fit into everyday life.

VULGOMAESTRE

Vulgomaestre is an Ecuadorian creative project led by Luis David Guachamín and Yadira Bonilla, focused on translating popular culture into a contemporary visual language. Their work is rooted in reinterpreting symbols, characters, and everyday scenes through a fresh, urban, and approachable perspective.

Through illustration, Vulgomaestre builds a distinctive graphic universe where identity, daily life, and playfulness come together. Rather than representing culture literally, their work reimagines it, making it relevant for new generations and contexts.

More than illustrations, their pieces offer a way of telling Ecuador from a different perspective — closer, more current, and deeply connected to its roots.
